all hallow's eve

... and the witches prepare for the last day of the year
the one we have fought to keep
carving faces and burning candles
another sacred holiday stolen
but we really know what it means
... and the witches cannot help but smile

Happy New Year to All

The ancients carved a frightening face in a autumn pumpkin to scare away all the evil spirits in hopes to bring good to them for the new year. Witches headed to the fields with their brooms jumping high between the crops to show the new harvest how to grow. But some came and secretly watched, the ones who were mindbled, and ran to the church to proclaim the witches were flying on broomsticks and doing evil deeds once again. A long way we have come indeed, the witches, our peaceful breed fighting silently to keep what we love so dearly. So once again here we come upon the last day of the year. The day when the worlds open and the spirits truly "come out to play". Celebrate with me my most favorite and sacred day, Halloween. No matter what you believe, for a moment remember, how it once was and perhaps shall be again.
